Our Perseid Meteor Shower viewing at Long View Ciderhouse was real. There was no projector, no computer, no screen, no chatbot, no AI slop. Our eyes looked through polished glass, mirrors, and metal, like Galileo’s did, and light that left thousands of years ago entered our eyes and brains and imagination.

It was the last observing weekend of the year at Long View Ciderhouse. Friday had the best forecast, so we went up, but there was a blanket of clouds overhead. Didn’t matter.
