The Wonder Under an Orchard’s Sky

Our Perseid Meteor Shower viewing at Long View Ciderhouse was real. There was no projector, no computer, no screen, no chatbot, no AI slop. Our eyes looked through polished glass, mirrors, and metal, like Galileo’s did, and light that left thousands of years ago entered our eyes and brains and imagination.

Sharing Saturn: Awe, Stories, and a Little Perspective

On a hilltop at Long View Ciderhouse, Saturn rose and stories flowed. From shy stargazers to visual artists, a night of cider, clouds, and shared wonder reminded me that astronomy isn’t really about stars—it’s about perspective, connection, and awe.
