Saturn rising this fall
It’s the perfect time of year to get outside and look up. Temperatures are cooler, the days are getting shorter. This fall brings a rising Saturn just after sunset, higher and higher each day. If you haven’t seen Saturn through a telescope, it’s unreal: the beautiful rings, the moons dancing around the planet, the unreal nature of what you’re seeing before your eyes through glass.
I use Saturn as the test to determine whether people are telling the truth about whether they really can see through my telescope. You can just see in their face and their expression when they glimpse it for the first time. The “oh my god!” or the gasp as they see it. One kid one time told me that it “looked like the stickers on his wall.” High praise indeed.
Book a session today to see it with your own eyes in disbelief.
Photo below is from my driveway one night last year. Doesn’t do it justice.
