I started Orion Perspectives because I believe perspective is power. For me, that comes from a mix of experiences: capturing beautiful images from above; a lifelong passion for writing and storytelling; a deep curiosity and awe about nature, water, and the heavens above; and decades in leadership, both personal and professional.

Whether I’m maneuvering a drone to capture the ultimate shot, teaching about the night sky to individuals and groups (literally hundreds of people and community organizations since 2010), or helping someone sharpen their focus, I’m driven by the same goal: to help people see more clearly and find a new perspective.

I’m a storyteller at heart, whether the medium is a drone, camera, a telescope, or a page. My background in strategy and communications teaches me the importance of clarity. My love of Stoic philosophy, nature, and connection keeps me curious and grounded.

Orion Perspectives is the place where my worlds align—where creativity, strategy, and a sense of wonder come together to spark new ways of seeing new perspectives.

Who am I? Why am I here?

FAQs

  • Because Orion was the gateway constellation for me, which got me hooked on space. Because it appears in fall, my favorite season. Because it’s a myth of strength, the dangers of vanity, and power. Because I have it inked on me to remind me I can do anything, but being humble is the counterweight to that. Because it’s an awesome constellation.

  • No, I have a great one, working for a great organization, doing great things, with a great boss, colleagues, and team.

I use that full-time job to buy telescopes, binoculars, and drones.

  • With Orion Perspectives? Sure! I’d love that. Link is here.

With me, personally? No, sorry. I’m sure you’re great, though, if you’re this far into the site.
